Awana has been a part of my life for 50 years.  Now that doesn’t mean I am old, I just started when I was very young.  😊 I have been blessed to be in Awana as a clubber, junior leader, club director, commander, missionary kid, and now as a full-time missionary serving Central and Southwest Virginia.  I have seen so many lives changed through the ministry of Awana.  What a joy!

After serving many years in our local church and on the Awana ministry team, in 2013 my husband Wally and I were led by the Lord to serve full time as missionaries. Wally closed his construction business and I left my job at Liberty University to travel the beautiful Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains.  We loved training leaders and encouraging pastors to reach boys and girls and their families with the Gospel of Christ.

In November 2018, the Lord called Wally home after suffering a brain stem stroke.  At first, I did not know what I should do.  We loved serving as a team and I just wasn’t sure if I could do this on my own. After a lot of time praying and seeking counsel from my godly friends, I believe God wants me to continue in our ministry.

The area I serve reaches from the tip of Lee county to Greensville county, covering major cities of Abingdon, Bristol, Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke along with many smaller and beautiful rural areas.  I will be serving 120 churches in 36 counties.   Coming to clubs to share in Large Group time, lead Game time, share in a church service are all things that I love to do.  Trainings will also be a large part of my ministry.  I am available to any and all of my churches.  Just give me a call.

. . .whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (I Corinthians 10:31)
