Awana missionaries are a valuable resource to you and your Awana ministry. Here are a few of the things that Awana missionaries do:

  • Set vision and encourage excellence for the Awana Ministry in Virginia and beyond.
  • Build relationships with local churches; available to answer questions, provide counsel, resources and assistance.
  • Provide training for Awana leadership:
    • Orientation for new leaders
    • Club specific training
    • Leaders’ meetings and Conferences to provide advanced training in Children and Youth Ministries.
  • Develop a Ministry Partner Team that prays for and supports the ministry.
  • Communicate about regional events, new ministry tools and news from Awana Headquarters, using newsletters, email and a Web site.
  • Fill the pulpit, upon request.
  • Speak at clubs, upon request.
  • Evaluate clubs, upon request.
  • Start new clubs.
